Here are some photos of the exterior of the car. JHM stage 4 clutch, lightweight flywheel, solid shifter linkage, Delrin shifter bushings, Stern control arms, and Stern motor mounts have all been installed. We had a clearance issue with the 18x10 TE37s and the rear parking brake spring; it would make contact with the wheel weights on the inner wheel. After moving the weights out 2mm, we didn't have any more clearance issues. 18" wheels with the Alcon brakes are a TIGHT fit.

Maybe I've watched the Fast and the Furious a few too many times, because I REALLY love carbon fiber. It's just so...sexy. What I don't love is it's price tag. I've always been a DIY kind of guy, so I figure I'd give this a shot. I did a wet lay of the RS4 front lip and my existing B pillars. Let's just say...it was a learning process.

Here's all the information you will need if you want to do it:

Parts and approximate cost

$1000 - Oettinger front bumper
$375 - OEM S6 LEDs
$75? - B6 A4 tow hook, washer caps (x 2)
$65 - S6 LED Harness PN: 4F0 940 068 A

You will need misc relays, wires, and switches.

Expect to spend a LOT for custom fabrication, this is NOT a DIY job. I did not factor paint into the costs either.

The lights are wired to a Bosch relay. When you unlock the car, there's a 12+ accessory. This remains live until the car is locked. The relay has power until the ignition is off, and the car is locked. Essentially, this allows me to have DRLs that turn on when the car is unlocked and remain on until I hit lock.

The power to the lights can be interrupted via a switch in the glove box.

Blacked out B7 ecodes

I don't like how stock B7 headlights look. Instead my buddy Rice helped me clear corner and black out the existing headlights. As an added touch, I was able to source a set of B6 ecode caps and fit them to the B7 headlights.
