This research was conducted mainly to assess which of the three leadership styles is the mostrndominant style among ethio telecom managers. On top of this, the research also aimed to assessrnthe differences in gender demographic between those represented in each of the three leadershiprnstyles as well as the differences between the constructs of extra effort, effectiveness andrnsatisfaction among ethio telecom managers represented in each of the three leadership styles. Arndescriptive and quantitative research approach was used in this research. Data was gatheredrnthrough the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaires, MLQ (5X-Short Form). From the totalrndistributed 150 questionnaires, 133 questionnaires were properly filled and returned, with a veryrnhigh response rate of 88.7%. The findings of this research indicate that the dominant leadershiprnstyle of ethio telecom managers is Transactional Leadership. The second-most popular style isrntransformational Leadership followed by passive avoidant Leadership. This research also showsrnthat female leaders are more transformational than males and females are also better inrncontributing to the outcome than males. The findings on the differences in the responses to thernconstructs of extra effort, effectiveness and satisfaction of the three leadership styles indicates thatrntransformational leadership has significantly strong positive relationship to extra effort,rneffectiveness & satisfaction. Based on the result of this research, it is recommended thatrntransformational leadership style should be practiced in ethio telecom so that the leaders canrntransforms their follower by helping them understand the importance of the organizationrnoutcomes, encouraging them to rise above their self-interest to achieve the company goals andrnobjectives.
