This study assesses the prevalence of academic procrastination and academicrnsocial activity, and the relationship of academic procrastination and academicrnsocial activity to academic performance in Bonga College of TeacherrnEducation. The participants of the study were two hundred and twenty onernfirst year diploma students. The findings of the study showed a significantrndifference in the mean academic procrastination rate among the four fields ofrnstudy, and a significant difference in academic social activity betweenrndifferent levels of academic ability. Regarding the relationship betweenrnacademic procrastination and academic performance, it has been found arnstatistically significant negative relationship between social study students'rnacademic procrastination and academic performance . . There was' also arnstatistically significant positive relationship between language, natural sciencernand social study students' academic social activity and academicrnperf01mance. Finally it was found that. academic social activity was arnstatistically significant positive predictor of language students' academicrnperformance
