This thesis focuses on the Mss of Gadla Abuna Muse. The reason why thernresearcher selected this topic is that the Gadl contains much valuable newrninformation. It is not well known among the general public and has not beenrnstudied deeply by scholars, although it constitutes a rich source of historical,rnreligious and cultural events of the epoch.rnThe study uses a comparative methodology, whereby two mss, that is, mssrnYad;)ba Mar;)yam (MAl, Yab ra Mad;)hane'alem (MB), are compared for theirrnsimilarities and differences.rnChapter one consists of the background of the study, review of relatedrnliterature, statement of the problem, as well as the objectives, methodology,rnscope and significance of the study.rnIn Chapter two, the researcher makes an analysis, including a list of the fourrnmss of Gadla Abuna Muse.rnChapter three includes a historical analysis of the Gadl and biography ofrnAbuna Muse.rnChapter four presents a critical edition of a small part of Gi:idli:i Abuna Musernbased on the two manuscripts MA and MB.rnIn chapter five, the researcher presents a few comparative and philologicalrnnotes on the Mss.rnChapter six presents the conclusion and recommendations.
