This research realized that the competence of individual workforce has to be confirmedrncontinuously by means of occupational competence assessment process. It should not bernone time task. Hence, the research was conducted to assess how much the occupationalrncompetence assessment administration process was practical in the CGAA under the titlernof "A Survey Study on Occupational Competence Assessment Administration Practicesrnand Stakeholders' Involvement." Based on this, the researcher applied relevant research.rnquestions which dealt with the overall occupational competence assessment practices,rncapacity and mandate of the CGAA CoC, the extent of the stakeholders' involvement inrnthe assessment system, the challenges of securing confidentiality, and the flow ofrnapplicants to take assessments. Based on that, the researcher llsed both primary andrnsecondary data sources in order to get appropriate data for the study. For the purpose ofrnthe study the target populations covered were; the City Govemment of Addis Ababa CoCrnmanagement and supervisors, assessment centers' coordinators, assessed trainers,rnAssessors and industry board member representatives. Accordingly, the researcherrnapplied descriptive survey method to collect ideas, opinions and views from a relatively arnlarge number of respondents. Moreover, the researcher used the possible bothrnquantitative and qualitative data. In the study, three sampling techniques: purposive,rnavailability, and systematic were employed to select sample respondents respectively.rnFour instruments: Interview, Questionnaire, Observation, and Document check in and sixrnrespondent groups with /36 sample sizes were considered. Three TVET colleges werernselected by using purposive sampling technique from among the seven TVET colleges inrnCGAA and then sample sizes of assessed trainers from these colleges and f ocal personsrnwere selected using systematic sampling technique. Finally, availability samplingrntechnique was applied to select samples for supervisors, management members, andrnassesso rs respectively. The major finding indicated that the CoC is encountering withrnvarious problems and challenges to administer the competence assessments and thernindustries are not yet ready to take part in the assessment implementation program, mostrnof the assessment centers are not standardized to conduct the practical assessments.rnHence, the CoC needs assistance from all concemed sectors to be capacitated andrnfulfilled manpower and infrastructures to administer the assessments process in properrnmanner
