The purpose of this study was to assess organizational capacity and effectiveness in EthiopianrnFederal Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission. In order to achieve this, an embedded mixedrnresearch approach was applied; because of it can describe the current situation of the federalrnethics and anti-corruption commission clearly than the other approaches. The researcherrnorganized basic research questions to see the practice of organizational capacity and effectiveness.rnThese basic research questions were what was the current organizational capacity of FEACC? Tornwhat extent FEACC was effective in fighting corruption? What were the challenges that encounterrnorganizational capacity and effectiveness? The researcher selected 168 respondents were selectedrnthrough simple random sampling technics. Both primary and secondary data were engaged. Thernprimary data collected using questionnaires and interview and secondary data were gatheredrnthrough document analysis. Based on the data from the respondent the FEACC has partiallyrnmedium organizational capacity and effectiveness. Based on the final result of the research thernresearcher concluded that FEACC has lack of human resource management, lack of knowledgernand skill on asset registration, verification and disclosure, lack of knowledge related to financialrnmanagement, low leadership capacity to motive the staffs, lack of knowledge and skill to analyzerninternal and external dynamics, low knowledge related to corruption prevention, ethics educationoutreach, and low organizational effectiveness related to cooperation with other organization.rnFinely the researcher recommended the followings; - the commission organized strong humanrnresource management to retain the qualified staff, formulate and implement national anti-rncorruption policy, apply relevant ICT to enhance its efficiency, implement organizational capacityrndevelopment, provide capacity building program for the executive leadership, the FEACC shouldrnimprove organizational structure, especially overlapped department.
