The main pwpose of this study was to investigate the level of job sati;jclction of trainers inrngovernment TVET colleges and institutions in South GondaI' administrative zone. To do this,rndata were collected Fom 179 participants who were selected from a total population of 357 (3 I 0rntrainers, 6 vocational counselors 29 department heads and 12 deans and directors). The datarngathering instruments are, through 38 tem 5 having 5 alternative Likert scale and open endedrnquestionnaire, unstructured interview, focus group discussion, observation and documentrnanalysis. The trainers were selected first using stratified simple random sampling among allrndepartments, whereas the vocational counselors and department heads, deans and directorsrnwere considered purposefully without sampling. The design of the study was descriptive which isrnassumed to be appropriate to assess levels of job satisfaction trainers. The data collectedrnthrough the Likert scale questionnaire were analyzed quantitatively and the data collectedrnthrough open ended questionnaire, interview, focus group discussion, observation and documentrnanalysis were analyzed qualitatively. 1n quantitative analysis, percentage. mean and t-test werernused. The findings of the study show that, both male andfemale trainers are dissati~fied. BUIrnmales are found more dissatisfied when compared with female trainers. The subscales alsornassert that the trainers are not sati~jied i17 the salmy they are paid, the way they are supervised.rnthe benefit they obtained, contingency reward, operational procedure they are treated with andrnthe procedure are communicated. The study indicates that salary is the most critical factor withrnwhich the trainers are not sati~fied whereas the nurture of the work is relatively better asrncompared to other faclors. The mean result of the finding of likert scale on job sati~faction isrn(2. 76), the trainers are not sati.sjied with their job . Based on the results, and measures that arcrnassumed to be help fit! to improve the situation were recommended
