The main purpose of the study was to examine the effects of job satisfaction on employees’rnturnover intention of ethio telecom. The study employed descriptive survey method. The datarnused were primary and secondary data. The sampling method was purposive and simple randomrnsampling. The study used close ended self-administered questionnaire which is designed torncollect quantitative data. The questionnaire design includes 4 items of demography, 14rndimensions of job satisfaction with 56 items and turnover intention with 4 items. Independentrnand dependent variables’ items utilized five Point Likert-scales. A total of 371 questionnairesrnwere administered and 321were analyzed with a response rate of 86.52%.The reliability andrnvalidity test were done before analyzing the data. Data analysis was done by descriptivernstatistics, correlation and regression analysis using SPSS 20(Statistical Package for SocialrnScience). Ten factors of job satisfaction; achievement, recognition, responsibility, advancement,rngrowth, compensation, work conditions, job security, status and communication were found lowrnemployee satisfaction at ethio telecom. In addition three factors; supervision, co-workers, andrnPolicies were moderate level of satisfaction. The study also found ethio telecom employees havernmoderate level of intention to leave the company. The other finding was that all factors of jobrnsatisfaction except job status have negative relationship with turnover intention. Besides this, allrnfactors of job satisfaction were found to be significantly associated with turnover intentionrnexcept policy and job status. Furthermore, the study found that all factors of job satisfactionrnexplained 32.2% of turnover intention. Since this model explains only 32.2% of the dependentrnvariable that reveals the model is weak. Among these predictors; achievement, Compensation,rnjob security, and Supervision have contributed relatively high impact to the variation of turnoverrnintention. Therefore, to increase employee satisfaction level and to reduce turnover intention thernpolicy makers and/or ethio telecom management must focus to improve the factors of jobrnsatisfaction that have high impact on turnover intention.
