The purpose of the study was to evaluate student-teachers' implementation ofrn. interactive activities. To gather data for the study three instrumentsrnclassroom observation, questionnaire to students and interview to studentteachersrnwere used.rnEight speaking lessons in south Gondar two secondary schools werernobserved, one hu ndred and forty students filled the questionnaire, and threernstudent-teachers of the observed section were interviewed. Both quantitative .rnand qualitative techniques were used to analyze the data.rnThe results of the study showed that classroom interaction activities were notrnimplemented properly. The student-teachers dominated the students. Muchrnemphasis was also given to grammatical niles and oral corrections. Moreover,rnthe speaking activities in the students' book were not-adequate to generaternoral interactions. The classroom conditions immenS'e number of studentsrnwere not suitable for speaking lessons .rn. Based on these results, conclusions were drawn, and recommendations werernmade.
