The Effectiveness Of Organizational Communication On Employees Motivation Ethiopian Police University College In Focus

Now a day, organizational communication is a complex and continuous Processes throughrnwhich organizational members create, maintains, and change the organization. Moreover,rnorganizational communication uses to motivate employees‟ and attain the goal of thernorganization. The main objective of the present study was to investigate the extent ofrneffectiveness of organizational communication on employees‟ motivation in Ethiopian PolicernUniversity College. To this end, both qualitative and quantitative research methods werernemployed in combination to realize the stated objective. Specifically, survey-questionnaire andrnin-depth interviews were employed to collect the necessary data and information. Questionnairernas a method of survey employed as a scientific instrument to obtain data from 138 selectedrnsamples in Ethiopian police University College. Also, the researcher conducted semi-structuredrninterviews with 5 samples of top level managers to understand their ideas and views. Purposivernsampling method was employed to select samples for interviewees. Accordingly, for surveyrnquestionnaires, the researcher used simple random sampling method. Based on the empiricalrndata, this research also found out that the organizational communication of employees‟rnmotivation is ineffective. For instance, 90% of questionnaires respondents claim that therneffectiveness of organizational communication and employees‟ motivation in the organization isrnnot effectively practiced and they rate disagree on the issues. According to the data, thernemployees‟ who are currently working in the university college are not motivated by thernmanagers‟ communications. The effectiveness of organizational communication to be realized inrnthe University College, strategic managers are creating open system of communication andrnmotivation for their employees. The University College must practice feedback orientedrncommunication to the employees‟.
