Logistics activities has become a potentially valuable way of securing competitivernadvantage through enhancing and improving organizational performances sincerncompetition is no longer between organizations, but among supply chains. The generalrnobjective of this was the effect of logistics activities on organizational performance inrncase of Modjo dry port .This research conceptualizes and develops on four logisticsrnactivities (Transportation management, Inventory management, Warehousernmanagement and customer response) to test their effects on organizationalrnperformance. Descriptive and Explanatory research design was used to explainrnlogistics activities and to examine the effect of logistics activities on performance ofrnmodjo dry port. Simple random sampling was used to select the appropriate samples ofrnthe study. All of the logistics activities were found to have positive and significantrncorrelation with the dependent variable which is organizational performance. ThernANOVA test result showed that, the value of R and R2 obtained under the modelrnsummary was statistically significant. The data for the study was collected from 69rnemployees of Modjo dry port. The relationships proposed in the framework were testedrnusing Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and the causal relations werernanalyzed using regression analysis. From the result of the analysis it is concluded thatrnthere is strong relationship between Logistics activities and organizationalrnperformance. Therefore, in order to achieve advancement in profitability and customerrnsatisfaction in the long-run through enhancing organizational performance, it is betterrnfor the organization to give due emphasis to the constructs of logistics activities andrnorganizational performance
