Supply Chain integration is considered as one of the ways through which humanitarianrnorganizations can be more competitive to achieve their goals and thus better perform. Thisrnresearch aimed at measuring the role of supply chain integration on performance of selectedrninternational humanitarian organizations operating in Ethiopia. Firstly, it aimed at exploringrncurrent level of supply chain integration practices that exist across humanitarian supply chainsrnin Ethiopia. Secondly, examined the impact of supply chain integration on performance ofrnhumanitarian organizations in Ethiopia. Supply chain integration was defined and analysed inrnterms of three dimensions of Inter-organizational information integrations, Interorganizational resource sharing & coordination and Intra-organizational internal ProcessrnIntegrations. Today’s humanitarian supply chains, due to challenges posed by the steadilyrnincreasing number of complexities in the environment they operate, tend to be unstable, rnuncertain, less responsive, inefficient and ineffective. These problems with the humanitarianrnsupply chain were the triggering factors that initiated undertaking of this stud. A structuredrnquestionnaire was developed, and primary data gathered from a purposively selected sample ofrn36 respondents from major six international humanitarian organizations which conduct Supplyrnchain and logistics activities as their core businesses. Pearson Correlation was used tornunderstand and analyse the first objective, whereas regression analysis was used to analyse thernrelationship between SCM integration and organizational performance. Multiple linearrnregression model was adopted to predict organizational performance from the three supplyrnchain integration dimensions. The study established that most HOs practiced SC integrationrnpractices among one another and between their own functions. The findings also revealed thatrnthere is very significant relationship between SCI and organizational performance and all thernSCI variables account for 78.6 % of the variation in the performance of humanitarianrnorganizations. All the three independent variables were statistically significant with p-value ofrnless than 0.05. It is recommended that all humanitarian organizations should embrace all thernthree dimensions of supply chain integrations practices to enhance their organization overallrnperformances. Further research is recommended through inclusion of other supply chainrnoperators such as beneficiaries, governments institutions, private companies and donorrnagencies as units of analysis.
