For many years, reports have continued to show the poor performance of the constructionrnindustry with many projects failing to exceed or live up to the expectations of clients.rnThe purpose of this study is to assess the effects of logistics management on organizationalrnperformance in Elmi olindo contractor’s plc. To address this study descriptive analysisrnmethod was employed and also quantitative and qualitative approaches were used. Therntotal number of employees (53), from logistics department sections and sub-units, supplyrnunit and warehouse administrators, project managers and project storekeepers, and thoserninvolved in site coordination activities as they are involved in logistics activities. To gatherrndata, questionnaire has been used. Data obtained through questionnaire has beenrnanalysed by using descriptive statics: mean and standard deviation and also inferentialrnstatistics (correlation) by SPSS 20.0 software version. The study focused and discoveredrnthe effects of logistics management over organizational performance by assessing logisticsrnactivities of the company namely; transportation management, customer servicernmanagement, inventory management, supply management, warehouse management. Lackrnof well-established standard to check the level of customer satisfaction, not usingrnelectronic communication like EDI or RFID, not applying Regular stock reporting andrnmonthly inventory count system to detect material loss, Poor Prevention mechanism fromrndamage due to temperature and humidity have been found to be the major problems of therncompany that needs due attention Therefore, it has been recommended to the company torntake measures to solve and improve logistics activities.
