This study examined the relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfactionrnamong commercial bank branch managers in Ethiopia. Using a basic random selectionrnapproach, a total of 262 out of 270 randomly selected commercial bank branch managers werernused as a sample for this research. The study was correlative, descriptive, and explanatory inrnnature, and survey research was employed to obtain data from participants. Mean, standardrndeviation, Pearson's product-moment correlation, and multiple linear regression were used asrnstatistical techniques. The findings revealed a moderately favorable relationship betweenrnemotional intelligence and job satisfaction. Furthermore, there was a somewhat favorablernconnection between all sub-dimensions of emotional intelligence and work satisfaction, whichrnwas also positive. Furthermore, five characteristics of emotional intelligence were shown tornbe important predictors of job satisfaction: managing relationships, emotional stability, self development,rnintegrity, and altruistic conduct. As a result, it is critical to focus on techniquesrnthat enhance emotional intelligence among commercial bank branch managers.
