Background: Antenatal Care means care before birth and includes education, counseling,rnscreening and treatment to monitor and to promote the well - being of the mother and fetus. Mostrnprevious studies done on knowledge and attitude of women toward ANC were community basedrndone on general women of child bearing age. Until now little has been known about knowledgernand attitude of women who are currently using ANC services.rnObjective: The aim of this study is to assess knowledge and attitudes of pregnant womenrnregarding the benefits of Antenatal care in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.rnMethods: Cross-sectional study was conducted among 405 pregnant women from March tornApril, 2015. Participants were interviewed using structured questionnaire. Twenty five nursesrnwere trained and involved in data collection process. Data was entered using Epi-data andrnanalyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21. Descriptive statisticsrnwas used to describe the study variables.
