Back ground- Liver disease is the single greatest cause of non AIDS related death in patientsrnwith HIV disease, accounting for a greater proportion of deaths than non AIDS related cancers.rnMost liver disease among HIV-infected individuals is secondary to confection with HBV. ManyrnHIV positives might be co-infected with HBV.
