The photon statistics and squeezing properties of thernsignal light produced by the degenerate and the nondegeneraternparametric amplifiers are analyzed employing the coherent staternpropagator. The propagator is evaluated using a method recentlyrnintroduced by Fesseha [1]. The task of evaluating thernpropagator by means of this method essentially reduces to thernproblem of solving the pertinent Euler-Lagrange equations
