The paper examines the roles and responsibilities of manager in an organization as well
as that of the manager responsible for briefing. It posits that manager has a great role to
play in ensuring the success or otherwise of an organization in achieving its goals and
aspirations. It concludes that what is most important is for him/her to know is how to
play his cards well and how he can marshal the human and material resources at his
disposal to achieve the goals of the organization effectively and efficiently at least cost
while at the same time satisfying the needs and aspirations of the workforce.
