Since Ethiopia adopted a new constitution in 1995, the constitution has recognized womenâ€™srnright to affirmative action and provides more attention to enable women participation in allrnspheres of life and equal employment opportunity with men. This study sought to analyze thernimplications of the provision of the child care facility on the work-family balance of motherrnemployees in public organizations. The study adopted mixed research approach and usedrnmultiple case studies to study the work-family balance of mother employees in publicrnorganizations. The study population consisted of mother employees who use child care servicesrnand works for federal public organizations where a child care facility implemented in AddisrnAbaba, human resource managers, womenâ€™s affairs officers of each organization and expertrnfrom the ministry of womenâ€™s child and youth affairs, have been included in this study. Allrnmothers who use the service were included in the study. The researcher collected data fromrnprimary and secondary sources, using questionnaires, interview, document review, and personalrnobservations to make the study more reliable. To analyze the data, the researcher adopted arnthematic framework analysis. The study revealed that the provision of the child care facility inrnthe workplace helped mother employees to balance their work-family responsibilities. The studyrnrevealed that organizational interventions improve work-family balance, thus, organizationsrnshould take the initiatives to embed, work-family balance policies within the organizationalrncultures. Finally, the researcher recommends that the government should closely monitor federalrnpublic organizations to ensure that the child care service implemented in all organizations.rnDuring the study, the researcher found only nine organizations that implemented the child carernservice.
