The Influence Of Perceived Organizational Support And Psychological Climate On Workers Motivation The Case Of Mesfin Industrial Engineering Plc In Mekelle City Ethiopia
The main objective of this study was to investigate the influence of perceivedrnorganizational support and psychological climate on workers’ motivation in Mesfin IndustrialrnEngineering PLC in Mekelle city. A descriptive research design was used to conduct thisrnresearch. A sample of 281 respondents was drawn from the employees of Mesfin IndustrialrnEngineering PLC(MIE) using a stratified random sampling technique. A standardized structuredrnquestionnaire was distributed to the selected respondents. The collected quantitative data werernanalyzed by using both descriptive (frequency distribution, mean, standard deviation, andrnpercentile) and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation analysis, One-way ANOVA, andrnmultiple regression) through SPSS software version 24. The findings show that there is a positivernmoderate relationship and statistically significant between psychological climate and employees’rnwork motivation, while there is a positive weak relationship and statistically significant amongrnperceived organizational support and employees’ work motivation. Psychological climate wasrnthe strongest predictor of work motivation whereas work motivation is least impacted byrnperceived organizational support.Also,the results indicated that there is no statisticallyrnsignificant mean difference between the demographic variables gender, age, educational level,rnand years of service in the organization with employees’ work motivation. Finally, thernresearcher suggests that Mesfin Industrial Engineering plc must give some attention tornunderstand the perception of employees towards the organization because this helps them tornsolve the problems on time and motivate their employees to achieve the desired objectives
