The major purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship among psychosocial rnrisk, motivation and job satisfaction of house-to-house solid waste collectors in Gulele sub city. rnIt specifically examines the relationships among psychosocial risk, worker motivation and job rnsatisfaction. The study employed a quantitative research approach and Correlational research rndesign. The questionnaires were composed of three scales that distributed to 250 random rnsamples of house-to-house solid waste collectors in Gulele sub city, 229 participants filled the rnquestionnaire appropriately. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics such as rnfrequency, mean and standard deviation, Pearson product momentum correlation, multivariate rnanalysis of variance and standard multiple regression. For data analysis, statistical package for rnsocial science (SPSS Version 20) was used. The result indicated that first, job satisfaction and rnpsychosocial risk had strong positive relationship. Second, job satisfaction and worker rnmotivation had strong positive relationship and lastly worker motivation and psychosocial risk rnfactors had weak positive relationship. Likewise, job satisfaction was found to be predicted rnsignificantly by psychosocial risk and worker motivation, which accounted for 41.2% and 51.9% rnof variance respectively. The study revealed that most solid waste collectors are vulnerable to rnwork related hazards and they did not followed risk prevention techniques because they did not rnhave enough knowledge how to intervene the problem. The study recommends that Gulele sub rncity solid waste management office and Addis Ababa city Administration environmental rnprotection office should be identified the risk factors and design an intervention model for rnprevention of targeted study population from work related hazards
