The Current Situation Of Youth Football Projects And Its Contribution To The Main Clubs In The Case Of Some Selected Project Areas In Arsis Zone Ethiopia

The main purpose of this study was to study the current situation ofrnyouth football project and its contribution to the main clubs in somernselected training centers in Arsi zone. The participants in this researchrnwere consisted of 32 youth players, all 6 coaches of the teams and 2rnmain club coaches. The participants were selected by purposive andrnrandom sampling method. The major instruments in this study werernquestionnaire, interview and field observation. The questionnairesrnwere administered for both youth football players and coaches of thernteam. To consolidate the information obtained from the questionnaire,rnstructured interview was conducted with 2 main clubs and nonrnparticipatory observation was used. The major finding of the studyrnrelated to the current situation of youth training centers indicated that,rnabsence of experienced and well educated coach, poor relationshiprnand communication among youth football project, main club staff andrnsport administrators, inadequate sport facilities and dominance ofrncoach centered coaching.
