The pwpose of this study was to look into the practices of the principles of physicalrneducation (PE) lesson for students with disabilities in some selected elementaryrnschools of Addis Ababa. The participants of the study were physical edt,cationrnteachers, students with disabilities, and school principals.rnThe study used the blend of qualitative and quantitative approach to idenify thern,rnchallenges to deliver the principles of physical education lesson for students withrndisabilities. The main data was collected through interview while playgroundrnobservation and focus group disc !:ssion were also supplementary data.rnThe study revealed that most of the teachers who were teaching students withrndisabilities in the integrated classes do not have concepts of special needs education.rnEven though they have students with disabilities, the schools were not well prepared tornteach physical education for students with disabilities. The study also identified thatrnmost of the students with disabilities are not advantageous from the PE lessonl1'hich isrntaking place currently.rnFinally, the study suggests paints concerning the role of schools' administraticfls andrnphysical education teachers for Getter delivery of the prinCiples of physical ed',cationrnlesson for students with disabilities.
