The objective of this study is to estimate survival probabilities and identify the risk factors forrnthe death of tuberculosis patients in Addis Ababa during the treatment period. The data for thisrnstudy are obtained from TB patients registered during September 2007 to January 2008 underrnDOTS at the Health Centers in Addis Ababa. The analytical methodologies used were thernKaplan-Meier to estimate the survival time and Cox’s regression model was employed tornidentify the covariates that have a statistical significant effect on the survival longevity of TBrnpatients. The estimation of the model parameters was done by partial maximum likelihoodrnprocedures. From the Cox regression model the factors Age, Initial weight, Category, HIV andrninteraction of Age by HIV were the risk factors for the death of TB patients. Furthermore it wasrnfound that the survival probabilities of TB patients with low initial weight, older age and HIVrnpositive were low

Subsurface Intelligence & Critical Mineral Exploration

Modern Geology projects now focus on Machine Learning in Mineral Targeting, Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) Geologic Modeling, and Critical Mineral Systems (Lithium, REEs). If your research involves Hydrogeological Connectivity, Seismic Inversion, or Geotechnical Site Characterization, ensure your analysis follows the JORC or NI 43-101 reporting standards and utilizes robust 3D Subsurface Visualization and Geochemical Fingerprinting frameworks.
