Dis emination of re earch findings is an exciting parI of a research process. Nonethele s, literatures indicate that mo t ofrnHigher Educationallnstilution ' (HEls ) research findings in Ethiopia are shelved. Hence, thisrnstudy focu es on the role of Ethiopian Radio and Television Agency (ERTA) in disseminating ofrnHEl ' re earch findings. The research was carried Ollt through a combination of quantitative andrnqualitative methods upported by document analysis. For the quantitative analysis, 100rnjournalists and 103 HEIs researchers were selected by systematic and stratified samplingrntechnique and questionnaires were distributed to them. Using pUiposive and conveniencernamp ling techniques, 10 key informants, state minister for Higher Educational Institutions atrnMinislly of Education (MoE), president of Wollega university and president of the consortium ofrnpublic universities, director for research & technology transfer at Addis Ababa Institute ofrnTechnology (AAiT), three policy makers, two ERTA higher offiCials (news & current affairsrndeputy director general and educational program deputy director general ), and two businessrnowners were identified for the qualitative analysis. The findings of the research revealed thatrnERTA is not playing its role in dissemination of HEIs ' research findings, there i no closernrelationship between ERTA and HEls and ERTA journalists have limitation of knowledge tornreport HEI's research findings well. Then, the researcher recommended that strong tie to bernestablished between ERTA and HEIs and ERTA to revise the weekly Radio and Televisionrnprogram guidelines so that rooms will be provided for dissemination of HEIs ' researchrnfindings.HEIs ' also should provide sustainable short term trainings to ERTA journalists to buildrntheir capacity to report research findings in a proper way; re earchers should do practicalrnresearches which can address local problems and they should plan and allocate budget torndisseminate valuable research findings through ERTA. Whereas Policy makers pu handrnconvince ERTA 's higher offiCials to disseminate HE!s research findings and they shouldrnconvince MoE to allocate considerable budget to HEls that helps them to do more valuablernresearch and to disseminate the findings through ERTA
