The main purpose of this study was to compare the psychological and social adjustment ofrnnon-institutionalized and institutionalized HIV I AIDS orphans in Addis Ababa.rn94 HIV/AIDS orphans were selected from Organization for Social Services for AIDS (OSSA),rnTesfa Berhan Ethiopia AIDS Orphans Association, Selam Children's Village and KechenernChildren's Home using stratified random sampling.rnAnalysis of the data was made using quantitative methods. Independent t-test was run andrnmean comparison was made. Results of the study revealed that there was significant differencernin both psychological and social adjustment between non-institutionalized andrninstitutionalized HIV I AIDS orphans. In accordance with the findings and conclusions,rnrecommendations were forwarded .
