Resource mobilization is a valuable component for strengthening local NGOs and resourcernmanagement is systems of policies and procedures that protect the assets of an organization. Thernobjective of this study was to assess resource mobilization and its management by the localrnNGOs operating in Addis Ababa. Descriptive research method was conducted for the study.rnAccordingly, 94 local NGOs were selected from total 1520 target population using simplernrandom sampling method. The main instrument for collecting primary data was questionnaire andrninterview; while secondary data was collected from published document of CHSA and selected localrnNGOs. The data generated were analyzed using statistical package for social science (SPSSrnversion 20). The study findings indicated that dependence on foreign fund, donors rule andrnregulation, CHSA law, capacity limitation of the organization, lack of awareness on availablernopportunity, networking with resource providers and other NGOs, accountability andrntransparency were the main factors that affect resource mobilization and its management. Thusrnthe researcher recommended promoting local resource mobilization to reduce dependence onrnforeign fund based on the study findings
