The main purpose of this study was to reveal the effects of leadership style on employees’rnmotivation in the work place of BSPE. The participants of this study were 83 employees of BSPE.rnIn order to collect quantitative data, the researcher employed probability sampling technique tornselect participants of the study. Moreover, the researcher applied Bass & Avolio's’ (1995)rnmultifactor leadership questionnaire and Ryan and Deci’s (2002) MySkillsProfile.com Limitedrnquestionnaires on motivation. The validity and reliability of MLQ and motivation items had beenrntested using Cronbach’s alpha for testing the reliability. The study used descriptive statistics,rninferential statistics, two tailed Pearson correlation and regression analysis. The results showedrnthat transformational and transactional leadership styles are the dominant leadership styles atrnBSPE. The regression results also revealed that transactional leadership style affects employees’rnmotivation followed by transformational leadership style and laissez-faire leadership style thernwork places of BSPE.
