The 3-amino- and 3-hydroxythioacrylamides werernobtained by deprotonation and hydrolysis of l-mercaptotrimethiniumrnperchlorates respectively. In this researeh,rnboth the thioacrylamides and the mercapto salts were used +;rnas starting materials to implement the synthesis ofrn2-amino~5-nitrothiophenes, 5-aminopysazoles, aminothiopyryliumrnsalts and 5-aminoiso::.:azoles • For the amino. itrothiophenes and aminopyrazoles attempts made to solate reaction intermediates were successful andrnacceptable mechanisms have been suggested. In almostrnall cases reactions were rapid and yields were high.
