The Chloroform extract of Tephrosia pumila ( Lam.) Pers.rn(Leguminosae) revealed the presence of eight flavonoids.rnOut of t,hese three flavonoids were isolated. The majorrncomponent was identified as the known praecansone Arnthat requided structural revision based on l3C NfVlR andrnother spectroscopic data. The second component wasrncharacterized as a nevi isoflavune that is given therntravial name pumilaisoflavone A.
