Chromium Speciation Based On Selected Schiff Bases Attempted Investigations And Analytical Applications

Liquid-lquid extractive and UV-Vis spectrophotometric methods were attempted forrnspeciation analysis of chromium. To do this, some laboratory-synthesized ligands (isatinthiosemicarbazone,rndihydrazine ninhydrin and ninhydrin semicarbazone) and arncommercially available ligand, phenanthroline, ware used. There have been found thatrnthey are inappropriate for both analytical applications. However, the chemical propertiesrnmay support some preconcentration or spectrophotometric applications.
