Phytochemical Investigation On The Leaves Of Laggera Tomentosa (petroleum Ether Extract)

In this project, a phytochemical study of laggera tomentossa has been under taken andrnchemical investigation on the solvent extract of the plant has been conducted.rnThe pet-ether extract of the leaves of L. tomentossa led to isolation of two Cuauthemonerntype sesquiterpene compounds. The compounds were identified to be 4-OAcetylcuauthemonern3-O-angelate (LTP-1) and 4-O-Acetylcuauthemone3-O-(2’-methyl-rn2’-hydroxy-3-acetoxy butyrate) (LTP-3). Structural determination was accomplished byrnmeans of spectroscopic methods(UV,IR,1D,and 2DNMR). LTP-3 was identified asrncuauthemone sesquiterpenoides previously from Bluma alata
