Potentiometric stripping analysis (PSA ) was appliedrnto the interface between two immiscible electrolyte solutionsrn( ITIES ). The analysis was done on anions of thiocyanate, rnperchlorate and nitrate.rnPolyvinylchloride-nitrobenzene (PVC-nb) gel wasrnprepared following the procedure introduced by Senda et alrnjBunseki Kagaku, 33 (.1984) E 371] and the PVC-nb gel electrodernwas constructed using polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)rntubing as a main cell body.rnThe behaviour of the cell was characterized by ac andrndc cyclic voltammetry and reproducible voltammograms werernobtained showing that the ion transport processes in bothrnphases is diffusion controlled. The reversibility of thernsystem was also tested using current reversal techniques.rnThe dependence of transition time (T ) on depositionrntime and deposition Cor enrichment ) potentials was quali- tatively studied. From this preliminary study the methodrn(PSA ) was found to be quite applicable for the electrolysisrnof ions across the ITIES,
