In this paper the level of nicotine in four different varieties of Ethiopian tobacco leavesrnwas determined using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method ofrnanalysis. Among the variety of species Virginia tobacco leaves were found to have highrnnicotine level (3.26 %), followed by the native tobacco ‘Gaya’ (1.1 %) then burleyrntobacco leaves (0.65 %), finally oriental tobacco leaves were found to have lowest nicotinernlevel, though its actual level of nicotine was not determined .Moreover it was confirmed thatrnthe nicotine level of Ethiopian tobacco leaves increases from bottom to top leaf (stalk)rnpositions of the tobacco plant, as well it was found that nicotine level of the same speciesrntobacco differ based on area of cultivation. The levels of nicotine in Ethiopian tobaccorn(obtained by this study) were found to be comparable with that in the rest of the world

Subsurface Intelligence & Critical Mineral Exploration

Modern Geology projects now focus on Machine Learning in Mineral Targeting, Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) Geologic Modeling, and Critical Mineral Systems (Lithium, REEs). If your research involves Hydrogeological Connectivity, Seismic Inversion, or Geotechnical Site Characterization, ensure your analysis follows the JORC or NI 43-101 reporting standards and utilizes robust 3D Subsurface Visualization and Geochemical Fingerprinting frameworks.
