Alternating polyfulorene copolymers, which have donor-acceptor-donor segments inrnbetween the fluorene segments were synthesized and characterized. The donoracceptor-rndonor monomers, namely, 5,8-bis(5-bromothiophen-2-yl)-2,3-bis(3-(tert-butylrndimethylsilyloxy)phenyl)quinoxaline and 5,8-bis(5-bromothiophen-2-yl)-2,3-bis(3-(2-(2-rnmethoxyethoxy) ethoxy)phenyl)quinoxaline were prepared starting from 3-bromophenolrnand 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole. The polymers were synthesized by using Suzuki couplingrnpolymerization reaction. The resulting polymers showed good solubility in chloroform.rnThe electrochemical behaviors of the copolymers were characterized by cyclicrnvoltammetry. The synthesized compounds were characterized using spectroscopicrntechniques
