The requirements of higher data rate, lrnnetwork architecture evolves the third generation mobilernGeneration (4G). Being part of 4G, Long Term Evolution (LTE) is the evolution of 3Grncounterparts, Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) and Code divisionrnmultiple access (CDMA), to provide a seamless connectivirn(UE).rnThe advancement of wireless communication technologies and the increasing size of radiornnetwork make the tasks of radio network planning more challenging andrnattention has to be given for nominal andrnthe desired requirements after deployment. The nominal and detailed LTE radio networkrnplanning involves consideration of basic network requirements in terms of coverage, capacityrnand Quality of Service (QoS).rnIn this study, the importance of such basic requirements has been illustrated usingrnmathematical analysis as well as computerrnradio network planning strategies to the operator and local practicingrnplanning area. The study considers Kirkos sub city in Addis Ababa, rndeployment scenario for the sub city.rnusing the nominal parameters in the detailed planninrncoverage prediction and capacity evaluation in terms of a given subscriber future growth.rnresult shows a better network coverage with an optimum network capacity can be achieved inrndue consideration of network parameters starting from the nominal planning stage till therndetailed planning phases in combination of pre optimization requirements at the initial stage.rnAs there will be a similar need in the other part of the country, these findings can be used asrnreference for new build as well as expansion of the existing LTE network in the future.rnKeywords: Long Term Evolution, LTE Planning, Nominal PlanrnLink Budget, Cellular Network Planning, and 4G.rnPlanning: Case of Kirkos Sub-City in Addis AbabarnAbstractrnlow latency system, and all-IP (Internet Protocol)rncommunication towards the Fourthrnconnectivity between two end User Equipmentsrns and, hencerndetailed LTE radio network planning so as to achieverneration computer-aided simulations in order to disclose the LTErnengineering in thernEthiopia, in view of newrnAfter analysis of the data taken from the sub city andrnplanning, the study resulted in target arearnerence Planning, Detailed Planning, LTE RadioLink Budget, Cellular Network Planning, and 4G.
