The study was designed to examine the extent to which media utilizationtrainingrncomponent is incorporated in Teacher Training Institutes syllabi.rnThe method employed was content analysis. All syllabi were used.rnConsequently, nine syllabi with a total number of 272 pages were usedrnfor analysis. Additional information were gathered through unstructuredrninterview. Based on the main categories, frequencies were counted andrnconverted into percentages. The data gathered were analyzedrnqualitatively. The study revealed that instructional media is not given as arncourse in TTIs. It is treated as a separate unit only in three courses: inrnEnglish Language, Pedagogics and Aesthetics and Physical Educationrnsyllabi. In all courses but two (Psychology and Special Needs Education)rnthis component is treated as a sub unit-though the expressions used arernvague. Generally, the study result shows that instructional mediarnutilization component is incorporated in the training syllabi with lowrncoverage and as a result, the training is not sufficient
