The purpose of this study was to assess the impacts of educational inputs inrnview of the process of improving quality of education in the Addis Ababa CityrnGovernment.rnQuality education is crucially important to the development of a nation.rnTherefore, 'provision of quality education is global issue. As a result thisrnstudy was significant to assess and proposes some impacts of educationalrninputs on the quality of general primary education. In light of this, threernbasic research questions related to major educational inputs and studentsrnachievement results were raised. Based on the research questions rele vantrnliterature was reviewed and appropriate research methodology was applied.rnThe study was conducted on 23 government general primary schools selectedrnby systematic random sampling method, from the total population of 75rnschools. The research methodology employed was descriptive surveyrnmethod. Data were gathered using questionnaire. The gathered data werernanalyzed using applicable statistical tools.rnAccordingly, the finding of the study revea led that the inputs to schools werernsignificantly scarce to result in qua lity education . The document analysisrnmade on the students test also indicated that students achievement was low.rnTherefore, one can easily generalize from the findings that the quality statusrnof education in the city government is low due scarce resources andrninefficient management among many other problems.rnAs a result, the Addis Ababa city Government and the Addis Ababa EducationrnBureau, are recommended to strengthen the already begun schoolrnimprovement program and coordinate all the concerned body to increase thernquality of education
