This study is on the Human Resources Management Practices and challenges in Major GeneralrnMulugeta Buli Technical Collage in MoND. The main objective of the study was to asses thernpractices and challenges of Human resource management by the college. The study falls in torntwo parts: the preamble and the main text. The preamble contains the abstract ,rnacknowledgements, table of contents, and list of abbreviations. The main text consists of fivernchapters: Chapter one covers the General Introduction and consists of an introduction,rnbackground to the study, statement of the problem, objectives of the study, research questions,rnsignificance, scope and limitations and definition of terms. Chapter two covers the literaturernreview drawn from international and local literally works. The chapter covers sub-sections onrnthe HRM functions in college and the challenges that managers face and the theoretical work.rnA list of references made is appended after the end page. Chapter three is the researchrnmethodology, covering research design, study population, sample and sampling procedures, datarncollection procedures research instruments, data type, source, instruments and data collectionrnand analysis methods. Chapter four has presented how data was analyzed and presented inrntables .practices and challenges facing employees and managers were analyzed... Chapter fivernis a wrap up to the study and gives the summary, conclusion and recommendations both forrnpolicy makers and for research. The main conclusion made here is that employees generally de-rnmotivated due to lack of transparency o management appraisal process and the issue ofrnleadership development . The study therefore, recommends that the management of collegernshould device ways of consistently motivating employees by using proper performance appraisalrnsystem and giving training for leadership development, on the basis of proposed guidelines. Thernreport ends with some appendices on the questionnaires for the employeesrnquestions for managers.
