The aim of this research paper was to investigate problems in the efficient utilization ofrnphysical facilities and training material management and suggest possible solution asrnremedial action to the manifested problems in the area. Out of twenty two governmentownedrnTVET colleges from the three regions six TVET colleges were selected byrnpurposive sampling technique. The study employed descriptive survey method. Leavingrnthe unreturned questionnaire data were gathered from 40 respondents' fromrnadministrative staff, 115 respondents from teaching staff and 472 trainees. Opinions,rncomments and suggestions were gathered from administrative staff, teaching staff andrntrain.ees through questionnaires. In addition the administrative deputy deans of eachrncollege were interviewed. Data were analyzed by using SPSS software like, chi-sq piernchart were drawn. Some of the major finding include: The physical facilities of therncolleges were not effiCiently utilized. The partiCipation of teaching staff in materialrnmanagement such as planning, selection of training material and utilization of trainingrnmaterial was high where as that of the administrative staff was low. Most of the teachingrnstaff did not know about the availability of training material resource managementrnguideline. Almost all the teaching staff and most of the administrative staff of therncolleges were assigned in their field of speCialization. From the finding it is concludedrnthat care and efficient utilization of physical facilities was the problem of the collegesrnunder study. On top of this training material resource was not efficiently utilized due tornlack of coordinated work among members the respective college community. Finally thernresearcher recommend the following: Firstly, to utilize the colleges' physical facilitiesrnand training material resource efficiently awareness raising work has to be done by therndeans, department heads and the trainers. Secondly, to use the physical facilities andrntraining material resource of the colleges efficiently coordinated work will be mandatoryrnfor the college community
