The objective of this research was to assess leadership and job satisfaction of experts inrnthe Ministry of Education. The research was designed to conduct a descriptive survey inrnwhich both quantitative and qualitative methods were employed. The target populations forrnthis study were experts and middle level leaders. To gather necessary data from experts andrnmiddle level leaders standardized questionnaires and interview were employed. Data wasrncollected from 112 respondents constituting 92 male and 20 female experts drawn from 16rndirectorates in the Ministry of Education. Stratified sampling technique was employed tornselect sample experts and sample leaders. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS)rnversion 20 was used to analyze the data. The findings of the study revealed that experts’rnwere dissatisfied with rewards, expectation and working environment in the organization.rnIn addition, there was the interference of top-level leaders in decision making of middlernlevel leaders. Based on the findings it was concluded that experts were dissatisfied withrnrewards, expectation and working environment in the organization. Finally, based on thernfindings, the organization is recommended to set up rewarding system, guarantee thernmandate and decision power of leaders, identify experts’ expectation gaps and setrnstrategies to fill with the solutions and assign leaders based on merit.
