This study was conducted to examine the relationship between student adjustment,rnperceived social support and generational status at Wolkite University. In line with this, it wasrnattempted to describe the proportion of students that had adjustment problems at the university,rnthe correlation of perceived social support and adjustment to university and adjustmentrndifferences due to sex and generational status. To address these questions the study usedrnquantitative approach with correlational research design. The result revealed that, half of thernfirst year students faced adjustment problems at Wolkite University. Academic, social andrnpersonal/emotional adjustment was found as the major challenges. Students with higherrnperceived social support, mainly from their families, had better adjustment to university.rnCompared to male, female students were found less adjusted academically and socially. On thernother hand, adjustment difference based on generational status was not statistically significant
