The purpose of the study was to Analysis Practices and Challenges of School Leadership andrnmanagement in leading SIP in Welmera Woreda. The study employed a mixed method whichrnconsisting of quantitative and qualitative approaches to collect and analyze data. Samples ofrnschools and study participants were drawn from eight cluster resource centers from which tenrnprimary schools were selected using cluster and simple random sampling techniques. Self-rndeveloped questionnaire was employed as the main data collection instrument in addition torninterview and document analysis. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statisticsrnincluding mean and standard deviation, and qualitative data were analyzed by using narration.rnThe outcomes of the study suggested that absence of effective work plan, lack of enough andrncapable teachers, in adequate teaching classes and students desk ,low community participation,rnabsence of conducive environment for students with special need, weak community participationrn;are problems identifie., Furthermore, lack of capacity and effectiveness of school leaders, lackrnof financial were the problems faced the school leaders. Thus, such situation made it difficultrnfor school leaders to be effective in leading the school. Based on the findings we can concludernthat for the improvement of school leadership the appropriate person did not sent to the schoolrnbased on the standard. The leaders capacity was not built through in service and pre servicetraining. Adequate resources were not allocated for the schools. Because of these problems thernleading practices given at the schools by the school leaderships were found to be ineffective. Sornthat in effective leading practices of school leader affects the teaching learning process .Basedrnon this, it was recommended that the government should provide adequate training for thernprincipals, to improve their capacity in leading teaching and learning , to be effective inrncreating conducive learning environment .In addition Wereda ,Zonal and Regional educationrnoffices and bureaus should provide capacity building training and short courses to develop therncapacity and effectiveness of school leaders.
