The major pUlpose of the study was to investigate the current status of government and private TVETrncolleges in terms of availability and proper utilization of resource facilities upon implementing ITrntraining programs. Accordingly, data was collected through questionnaire, ob ervation and documentrnanalysis. A questionnaire was distributed to five government and ten private TVET colleges andrnresponse were elicited from a total of 75 teacher respondents and 356 student respondents. For thernpurpose of analysis, statistical techniques such as percentage and one-way ANOVA were employed. Inrnthe final analysis, the study revealed that, private TVET colleges had better IT training facilities inrnterms of quality and quantity in relation to the number of students enrolled in their colleges asrncompared to that of government colleges. However, among other problems, both types of TVETrncolleges lacked sufficient Internet connectivity and Internet services to students which should be partrnof the IT training programs in the TVET system. Besides, in both types of colleges, less emphasis wererngiven to the practical aspect of the training program which was contrary to the methods of therntrainings set on the curriculum of the TVET Finally, based on the findings and conclusion drawn, it isrnrecommended that, along with other facilities both types of colleges should give more emphasis to thernpractical aspects of the training and should provide Internet services to students. Mainly, governmentrncolleges should give due attention to fulfill the required amount of training facilities that go in linernwith the number of trainees enrolled in their respective colleges
