Introduction:Globally, falls are the second leading cause of unintentional injury deaths,rnwith 80% occurring in low-and middle-income countries. Falls are a major healthrnconcern in the elderly population. Fall injuries are an important public health concernrnand remain a growing health problem globally. Two of the three leading causes of injuryrndeaths road traffic injuries and falls â€“ are predicted to rise in rank compared to otherrncauses of death, with falls rising to become the 17th leading cause of death by 2030rnunless necessary intervention is given. rnObjective: This study was conductedto assess the pattern and outcomes of fall injuriesrnamong patients who had visited AaBET hospital ED from April 6 to May 2020 rnMethods: Institutional based cross-sectional study design was employed. A systematicrnrandom sampling technique was used to review patientâ€™s registration chart from Januaryrn2018 to December 2019. Then after data collection, data was checked and entered intornEpi data 4.6 versions, finally, the cleaned data was exported to SPSS version 25 forrnanalysis. binarylogistic regression was used for dependent variables with p value< 0.05rnconsidered to be the significant association.
