E-waste is a global, interregional, and domestic problem. E-waste management is a challengingrntask not only due to its speedily increasing volume but more outstandingly because of its effectrnon healthy and the environment. The objective of the study was to assesses level of awareness,rnattitude and practice on e-waste management and examine the influence of demographics, sociocultural and institutional factors that affect the perception on e-waste management at selectedrngovernment office level in Kirkos sub city. The data were collected from 367 selectedrngovernment office employees, which Kirkos sub city were selected by using purposive samplingrntechnique based on the closeness of my working area. stratified random sampling was employedrnwhere type (Office managers, government experts, and government employees) were taken asrnstrata are the actors that purposely selected. six people who interviewed in EPA and EFCCCrnwere found relatively small in size and live in scattered areas, I used random sampling method.rnDescriptive statistics and inferential statistics such as t- test, Pearson chi-square, correlationrnand Logistic regression model were used to predict the relationship between predictorsrn(independent variables and dependent variables. The descriptive findings show that there is lackrnof awareness on e-waste management at government office level and photocopiers, printers,rnlaptops, desktops, Computer accessories, TV/Radio, modems constitute the major wasterngenerated by the selected government offices. Though most offices have temporary storage inrntheir office, they did not store wastes separately based on its type. Disposed of e-wastes inrnunauthorized sites by the employees practiced in Sub City. The inferential analyses show, that,rnemployees age, educational level, location, access to collectors and disposal site service for ewaste are the major factor that affect the government office employees’ awareness, attitude andrnpractice of e-waste management. Moreover, the qualitative analyses, using the interview data,rnshow that disposal site, lack of rule, lack of collector, manpower and facilities like container arernthe other factors. For government office employees facilitating awareness creation programs,rnprepare rules and regulations and attention to disposal site and collation system arernrecommended as a solution.
