Background: Diabetic foot ulcers and the resulting lower extremity amputations are common,rncostly, and disabling complication of diabetes, and up to 12% of all hospitalized diabetic patientsrnin Africa have foot ulceration. Interventions aimed at preventing foot ulcers in patients have beenrnshown to reduce lower extremity amputations by 50% and 85%. The aim of this study was tornassess the knowledge and practice of diabetic foot care among diabetic patients at ZewditurnMemorial Hospital, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 2021. rnMethod: Institution based descriptive cross sectional study was employed from June 1 to Augustrn30, 2021 using interviewer administered questionnaires. A total of 394 patients were recruitedrnusing convenient sampling technique, Descriptive statistics was used to describe characteristics ofrnstudy participants and logistic regression analyses including bivariate and multivariate analysisrnwas used to assess determinant factors.
