The development and provision of equitable and acceptable standard of health service tornall segments of population of Ethiopia has been a major objective of the 1993 nationalrnhealth policy. The health sector strategy adopted to implement the policy and focuses onrngiving comprehensive and integrated public health services by doing in cooperation withrnthe concerned bodies to minimize challenges hindering the service delivery and to givernequitable and whole addressing service.rnHence healthy society is the key for development, studying about service provision andrnits challenges as a planner and indicating possible mechanisms to balance the existingrnresources and the service need is also beneficial. So, this research study is done on thernobjective of assessing the status of provision of public health service, identifying thernmain challenge and analysing its cause as well as determining the possible measuresrnbeing implemented to deliver fair health service with existing challenges and availablernresources is done by taking Masha Woreda as a study area.rnThis paper includes literatures reviewed from different sources, which are related to thernstudied topic and strategies being implemented to make fair provision of health services.rnIt took 4 sample Kebeles which are selected purposively on distance difference from therncapital of the Woreda. One hundred forty two samples were selected randomly from eachrnpurposively sampled Kebeles as a primary data sources and written document such asrnannual reports and strategic plans from the Woreda health department as a secondary data sources.rnData are gathered from these sources by using both open ended and closed endedrnquestionnaires semi structured interviews of households of the Kebeles. The datarngathered from the mentioned sources are analysed by using SPSS tools like crossrntabulations, tables showing percentages and frequencies
