Recruitment and selection are essential tools in assisting the human resource managers and the entire company to hire the right people and retain them. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of recruitment and selection practices on organizational performance of United Bank S.C. Descriptive survey design was used for the study. Stratified and simple random sampling techniques were engaged to sample 292 participants (employees) and 86 customers of the organization were selected from a target population of 1,855 of and 474,482 respectively. The primary data was collected using standard questionnaires. Descriptive analysis involved the use of frequencies in their absolute and relative forms (percentage) whereas inferential statistics showed the nature and magnitude of relationships established between the recruitment and selection practice (independent variable) and organizational performance (dependent variables) using analysis to make inferences from the data collected to more generalized conditions. Mean and standard deviations were also be used as measures of central tendencies and dispersion respectively.
