We analyze a degenerate three-level laser driven by coherent light and coupled to arnvacuum reservoir via a port-mirror. Employing the solutions of the c-number Langevinrnequations we have determined the mean photon number, variance of the photon numberrnand quadrature variance of the cavity radiation.The mean photon number would be zerornwhen there is no driving light and all atoms are initially in the bottom level, and the mostrnintense light is produced when all atoms are initially in the upper level. We observed thatrnthe more atoms are injected into the cavity at a time, the more the degree of the squeezingrnof the cavity radiation would be.
